Parking

The Town of Vail will implement daily parking rates in all gated lots this summer from May 30 to Sept 28, 2025. This includes Ford Park, where the Bill Wright Tennis Center is located.

The town's purpose for this is to help fund repairs and maintenance of the town’s parking structures, while also encouraging the use of transit. A recent town assessment shows a need for approximately $10.5 million in repairs over the next 5 years to keep the structures in use.

What does this mean for you?

  • Vail Transit will expand its free in-town summer schedule to include 15-minute East Vail service, West Vail Express and Lionsridge Loop service, and additional Sandstone service. More information is available at www.vail.gov/bus.
  • Core Transit also offers free bus service throughout the majority of Eagle County.  More information is available at https://evta.colorado.gov.
  • Parking retail rates are one hour free, then $2 per hour with a maximum daily fee of $10 in all gated lots. More information is available at www.vail.gov/parking. See the below chart for hourly rates at Ford Park.

Are you a local?

Locals who live, work or own property in Vail can purchase a Vail Local summer parking pass for $25. Eagle County locals can purchase a summer parking pass for $50. Discount parking pass rates are two hours free, then $1 per hour with a max daily fee of $5 in all gated lots. See the below chart for hourly rates at Ford Park.

  • Passes are available for purchase at www.vail.gov starting in mid-May (you must show proof of eligibility).
  • If you purchased a parking pass for the 2024-2025 winter season, this pass will automatically extend with no additional fee for use during the summer season.
