Assistant Coach - Gymnastics
Provides leadership and support for Vail Recreation District’s (VRD) gymnastics division in the recreation department, including participant and community relations, instructing participants, assisting with facility operations, administrative support and scheduling, and ensuring the safety of participants and staff.
Reports to: The gymnastics director and the head coach

Sports
Recreation Services Coordinator - Sports
The Vail Recreation District Recreation Services Coordinator assists in all aspects of the Sports Department, including budget, events & programming, personnel, facility maintenance, operating policies and procedures. Sustain general VRD objectives as established by the Executive Director and the Board of Directors. Act as community liaison to promote VRD objectives and accomplish long-range plans.
Reports to: Sports Co-Director, Programming & Facilities (leagues & youth sports) Sports Co-Director, Event & Partnerships (events & sponsors)
Direct Reports: part-time and seasonal event staff including sports officials
Responsibilities: Planning and execution of special events and races as assigned. Assist with sponsorship and prize acquisition. Oversees select adult leagues, youth sports programs, and open gyms as assigned.

Dobson Arena
Skating Instructors
The Dobson Arena is looking for skating instructors for Learn to Skate classes on Wednesdays, 3:30 and 4:15 p.m. The program starts Sept. 21 and continues through April. Skating experience is required; must be able to independently teach small groups. We follow the Learn to Skate USA curriculum. Perks include being able to teach private lessons at Dobson Arena, with proper credentials.
- Pay: $25 per class (classes are 45 min. long)

VRD Zero Waste Team member for Yeti Hockey Games
Staff would be responsible for engaging eventgoers at designated waste stations to verbally instruct where waste items should be disposed of. Walk rounds at the event “top sorting” through bins. After the event, staff members will assist in removing and sorting the accumulated waste to limit the amount of contamination in compost and recycle bins. We will be very hands-on, reaching into various waste bins, carrying heavy bags, and lifting waste into dumpsters.
If you are interested in being a part of the solution to educate the public about waste reduction and help local initiatives meet sustainable community goals, you would be a great asset to the VRD Zero Waste team.
Schedule: Fridays and Saturdays, December – March, approximately 6:30 PM – 11 PM,
Compensation: $100/event
Age: Must be at least 16 years old
